What is hydrogen and what does it do for skin?

Hydrogen is the smallest molecule in the universe and a highly selective antioxidant. Its incredibly small molecular size means it can penetrate skin tissue, enter cells, and reach mitochondria – where oxidative stress originates. It selectively neutralizes the most damaging, age-accelerating free radicals, while preserving the beneficial oxygen species our skin cells need for healthy signalling.

Why has hydrogen been so difficult to harness in skincare?

How did you overcome that challenge?

Some free radicals belong to a broader group of reactive molecules called Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS), which are naturally produced by our mitochondria as they generate ATP – the energy our cells need to function. This is what makes molecular hydrogen so significant.
